The walls inside of the estate shares the same design of Tony's mansion. The Vercetti Estate on Starfish Island is clearly based off of Tony's mansion, although the two mansions are different on the outside. The only difference between them is that Tommy never became addicted to his own narcotics. They both owned a large mansion and became the drug kingpins of the city that they're in. The protagonist of the game, Tommy Vercetti, is clearly based off of Tony Montana. The Rockstar Games game, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, is primarly based off of the film, as some characters, and features in the game relate to those that are in the film. The film mainly centers on Tony Montana and shows how he rises to the top of Miami's cocaine empire. The story tells of a Cuban refugee who comes to Miami in the 1980 as a result of the Mariel Boatlift, and becomes the drug a drug cartel kingpin during the cocaine boom of 1980. The 1980 film is a remake of the 1932 film of the same name. The films stars Al Pacino as Tony Montana, the film's protagonist. 1983 American crime film directed by Brian De Palma, written by Oliver Stone, and produced by Martin Bregman.
